Installing the Batteries

Your Playtime Driver requires eight "AA" batteries, four for the car and
four for its dashboard.  We recommend alkaline batteries, such as Radio
Shack Cat. No. 23-552.

CAUTIONS:  Use only fresh batteries of required size and type.  Do not mix
           old and new batteries, different types of batteries (standard,
           alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries of differ-
           ent capacities.

           Never leave dead or weak batteries in the Playtime Driver.  If
           you plan not to use it for several days, remove the batteries.
           Dispose of batteries properly; do not bury or burn them.

To install the batteries:

1.  Use a coin to slide the tabs on the Playtime Driver's and dashboard's
    battery compartment covers, then open the covers.

2.  Put four "AA" batteries into the Playtime Driver's battery compartment,
    and four "AA" batteries into the dashboard's battery compartment. Match
    the + and - marks inside.

3.  Close the covers.

NOTE:  If the Playtime Driver moves slowly or not at all, replace the car's
       and dashboard's batteries with fresh ones.
