Frog Crossing
(600-2662) Game Objective Faxback Doc. # 37232
Object of the Game
In each round, try to get five frogs back to their homes before the timer
goes from 90 to 0.
You begin each game with five frogs. You lose a frog if you:
The frog is hit by a truck.
The frog is drowned in the river.
The frog is on a log that automatically moves to the left or the right.
The timer reaches 0.
NOTE: When a frog dies an angel frog with wings and a halo briefly appears
at the top of the display.
If a frog reaches its home, it gets a crown and becomes a king frog. If you
fill all five homes with king frogs before the timer reaches 0, you go to
the next round. Otherwise, when your time is up, the king frogs disappear
and you must try to fill up the homes with king frogs again.
NOTE: If the frog tries to jump into a home that already has a king frog
inside, the frog is put back on the log it jumped from. If you press
and hold UP while the frog jumps into the home, the frog is thrown
back into the lower level of the river. If there is no log at that
position, the frog drowns.
Your game has nine skill levels. Each level is the same game, but the diff-
iculty increases at each level, with more, faster trucks and floating logs.
Each time you successfully complete a skill level, you automatically go to
the next level. At each level, you play three rounds.
Each round is basically the same, but difficulty increases. The frog's
journey becomes more and more dangerous at each round. In Round 1, the frog
must avoid the trucks to make it across the road and travel across the
river on the floating logs.
In Round 2, the trucks might stop suddenly in front of the frog to stop it,
then continue to move. Also, some flashing logs appear in the river. If the
frog jumps onto a flashing log, it drowns.
In Round 3, a flashing frog appears on the river bank. If your frog crashes
with the flashing frog, your frog dies. Also, to make the frog's path more
difficult, the king frogs in the homes continuously change their positions.
After Round 3, you progress to the next skill level and start at Round 1
again. Each time you proceed to the next level, you get one extra frog.
NOTE: If you have more than six frogs, the game keeps a record of the total
number of frogs, but the display only shows six.
