first problem appears on the display, and the Professor tells you what
you need to do to solve it.

wrong answer on the first try, the Professor says "Oops, try again."

appears on the display, and the Professor says "The correct answer
is _____" or "This is the correct answer."

answer, the next problem automatically appears on the display.
The Professor gives you 5 different problems during most games, and
gives each player 5 different problems during most 2-player games.
After the last problem in most games, the Professor automatically
announces your score. The Professor might give some comments about

In all games except Guess the Word and Get in Shape, the level will
automatically increase by one if your score is 100 for two games in a
row, and will decrease by one if your score is 0 for two games in a
row.
Playing with 2 players
The games MISSING LETTER, SCRAMBLED WORDS, ADDITION, SUBTRACTION,
MULTIPLICATION, DIVISION, LEARNING NUMBERS, ROUND NUMBERS, and TIC TAC BOX
can be played alone or with a friend. Each time you turn on the keyboard
and select a game, it automatically selects the 1-player game. To select
the 2-player game, start a game then press PLAYER. The Professor says
"Two players."
To return to a 1-player game, press PLAYER again.
During a 2-player game, the Professor takes turns asking each player to
enter a word, a problem, or a number (except in TIC TAC BOX). Then the
Professor changes the word, problem, or number into a question and asks
the other player to answer the question. The Professor then awards points
to the player who answers it correctly (see Scoring).
Scoring
During most games, the Professor awards 20 points for a correct answer on
the first try, and 10 points for a correct answer on the second try. If
the player presses ANSWER, no points are awarded for a question.
During 1-player games, your score appears on the upper left hand corner
for the display. During player games, the upper score is Player A's
