PLAYING THE GAME

1. Press DEAL HIT to turn on the game.

2. Choose 1 or 2 players.

For one player - press and hold PLAYER until PLAYER 1 and 100 appear on
the bottom of the display. When playing with one player, you can also
press POINTS to increase your total points to 200.

For two players - press and hold PLAYER until another 100 points for
the second player appears on the bottom of the display.

NOTES: The computer always plays the dealer's hand.

If there are two players, when one player loses the round, play
passes to the next player. PLAYER 1 or PLAYER 2 appears to show
whose turn it is to bet.

3. Press DEAL HIT. The computer shuffles the cards.

4. Place your bet. Press BET repeatedly to increase the bet 2 points at a
time. The maximum bet is 10 points. Or, you can press MAX BET to
immediately place your bet at 10 points. The computer automatically
subtracts the bet from your total points.

5. Press DEAL HIT. The computer deals two cards to the player and two cards
to the dealer. The display shows the total score of your hand.

NOTES: If you pressed MAX BET for the maximum bet of 10 points, the
computer automatically deals two cards to the player and two
            cards to the dealer.

One of the dealer's cards is dealt face up and is called the
exposed card. The other is dealt face down and is known as the
            downcard or hole card.

The computer shuffles the cards when the deck is down to its
            last few cards.

6. Choose your option: Stand, Hit, Double, Split, or Insurance. See
    "Choosing Your Options" below.

Your total points appear on the display. If you win, your winnings and
    WIN appear.

If you lose, the computer subtracts your losses from the running total.

NOTES: A bonus of 5 points is given if you have a combination of cards
that include 7-7-7, 6-7-8 in any order, or any six cards totaling
        21 points.

The maximum score can be more than 999, but the display rolls over
to 000 when you reach 1000.

If you lose a one-player game and your points total 0, press POINTS
to start a new game. In a two-player game, If one player's points
total 0, play continues with the next player until he loses the
game. You can press POINTS to start a new game at any time.

7. Repeat Steps 4-6 to play the next round.

CHOOSING YOUR OPTIONS

STAND

Press STAND if you are satisfied with your hand. Play passes to the next
player or the dealer.

HIT

Press HIT to request an additional card. The computer deals each time you
press HIT until you stand, reach 21 points, or bust. The computer auto-
matically updates and displays your running total.

DOUBLE DOWN

If your first two cards total 10 or 11, DOUBLE DOWN flashes on the display.
Press DOUBLE DOWN to double your original bet. The bet is subtracted from
your total score and you can take only one more card.

NOTE: You cannot double your bet if your point score is less than your bet.

SPLIT

If your first two cards are a pair, SPLIT flashes on the display. Press
SPLIT to split the cards and play two hands. Your bet automatically doubles
and the bet is subtracted from your score.

NOTE: You cannot split if your point score is less than your bet.

INSURANCE

When the dealer's exposed card is an Ace, INSURANCE flashes on the display.
You can take insurance (protect your bet) against the dealer having Black-
jack. The insurance bet is half of your original bet.

To accept insurance, press INSURE. LOSE appears momentarily on the display
and the insurance bet is subtracted from your total score. To decline
insurance, press DEAL HIT or STAND.

NOTES: You cannot insure your bet if your point score is less than half of
        your bet.

If you want to accept insurance and double down or split, you must
choose INSURANCE before the other options.

If the dealer has a Blackjack, you win the insurance bet, getting a 2 to 1
payoff. If you also have a Blackjack, you get a 3 to 2 payoff (see
"Betting" on Faxback Doc. # 35032).

If the dealer does not have a Blackjack, you lose the insurance bet. LOSE
flashes on the display, and you can continue to play your hand.
