INSTALLING BATTERIES
Your game comes with three 357A batteries for power. With three fresh
batteries installed, the game's memory can keep the game status and scores
for months.
Follow these steps to install the batteries.
1. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the two screws from the battery
compartment cover, then slide off the cover in the direction of the
arrow.
2. Insert the three supplied batteries with their positive (+) sides
facing up.
WARNING: Never allow children to play with batteries. Swallowing a
battery could be fatal.
3. Replace the cover and secure it with the screws.
NOTES: When the display dims or the sound weakens, replace the batteries.
For extra long battery life, use alkaline batteries, such as Radio
Shack Cat. No. 23-115.
If the game does not work properly, you might need to reset it by
removing and reinstall the batteries. If the game still does not
work properly, replace the batteries.
CAUTION: Use only fresh batteries of the required size and type. Always
remove old or weak batteries. They can leak chemicals that can
destroy electronic circuits.
TURNING THE GAME ON AND OFF
To turn on the game and start or continue play, press ON.OFF. To turn
off the game, press it again.
To conserve battery power, the game automatically turns off after about 4
minutes if you do not press any keys.
PLAYING WITH OR WITHOUT SOUND EFFECTS
Press SOUND to turn off the sound effects. Sound disappears from the
display.
Press SOUND again to add sound effects. Sound appears on the display.
BEFORE YOU PLAY
Before you start playing the game, you should know the basic rules of
Craps.
Craps is a game governed by the odds. You need to figure odds and hedge
bets. There are a wide variety of bets you can make, from even money bets
to 30-to-1 shots.
THE COME-OUT ROLL
The following bets are available for the Come Out Roll (the first roll of
the roll of the dice in a round).
When you are the shooter (the player rolling the dice), you must place a
bet either on the PASS LINE or the DON'T PASS BAR. You may also place
other bets. When you have placed all your bets, roll the dice to establish
the point.
Pass Line Bet
On the first roll, if you make a 7 or 11, it is called a natural and you
win even money on your Pass Line bet (the same amount of money that you put
on the Pass Line). Rolling a 2, 3, or 12 is called craps, and you
immediately lose your Pass Line Bet.
If your first roll is not a natural nor craps, the number you roll is
called the point. On all future rolls in the round, you are trying to hit
that point again. There are different odds for hitting different points.
If you eventually hit your point, the Pass Line pays even money. But, if
you roll a 7, you lose.
NOTE: You cannot remove your Pass Line Bet from the table.
Don't Pass Bar Bet
The Don't Pass Bar is exactly the opposite of the Pass Line. When the
shooter wins on the Pass Line, any bets on the Don't Pass Bar lose. When
the shooter loses on the Pass Line, any bets on the Don't Pass Line win.
If you choose to bet this line, you are betting that there is no natural
on the first roll and that a 7 comes up before the shooter hits the point.
NOTE: As with the Pass Line Bet, you cannot remove the Don't Pass Bet
from the table during the round.
BIG 8 AND BIG 6 BETS
In order to win this bet, a 6 or an 8 must appear on the dice before the
shooter rolls a 7. This is also an even money bet.
NOTE: These bets can be placed at any time in the round (up to eight
times).
FIELD BETS
The field consists of the numbers 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, and 12. Placing
a bet on the field is a bet that the next number will be one of these
numbers. This is an even money bet, but if you win on a 2 or 12, the
payoff is 2 to 1.
NOTE: Field bets can be placed at any time in the round.
SPECIAL BETS
NOTE: These bets can be placed at any time in the round.
Seven - You are betting that any one roll of the dice will come up a 7.
The payoff on this bet is 4 to 1.
Any Craps - You are betting that any one roll of the dice will be either
a 2, 3, or 12. The payoff on this bet is 8 to 1.
3 or 11 - The payoff if a 3 to 11 comes up is 15 to 1.
2 or 12 - The payoff if a 2 or 12 comes up is 30 to 1.
Craps-Eleven (2, 3, 12) - You are betting that the shooter will roll
a 2, 3, or 12 on the next roll of the dice.
The payoff on this bet is 7 to 11.
Craps-Eleven (11) - You car betting that the shooter will roll an 11 on
the next roll of the dice. This payoff on this bet is
3 to 1.
The following bets stay on the table until the shooter rolls craps or
makes the point. You may remove these bets at any time before the
shooter's round is over.
Hard 4 or Hard 10 - These bets are listed together because they pay the
same 8 to 1 odds, but they are different bets. When
you bet on a Hard 4, you expect to hit a 4 by rolling
double 2s. Similarly, when you bet on a Hard 10,
you are betting on double 5s.
Hard 6 or Hard 8 - You are betting on double 3s or double 4s. The payoff
on this bet is 10 to 1.
ADDITIONAL BETTING OPTIONS
After the Come Out Roll has been thrown and the Point has been
established, you may still make the Big 6, Big 8, Field, and all Special
bets, but no more bets will be accepted on Pass or Don't Pass. You can
also make the additional bets described below.
Come Line Bets
This bet is very similar to the Pass Line Bet. When you place a bet on
the Come Line, you are establishing a second point to play. The next roll
of dice will win on a natural or on craps, or establish another point.
After this roll, the Come Line Bet will be transferred to the point number,
and you may place another Come Line Bet if you want. When the shooter hits
the point you come in on, you win even money.
Don't Come Bets
The Don't Come Line is the opposite of the Come Line. Like the Don't Pass
Line, it establishes a point that causes a loss if the shooter makes the
point before rolling craps. When you bet on the Don't Come Line, the next
roll establishes the Don't Come point. After the point is established, it
is moved to the Don't Come numbers. This bet pays even money.
Free-Odds Bets
Once a point has been established, any player may bet on the odds. Each
point has a different likelihood of being hit. The payoff odds for Free-
Odds Bets on Pass and Come bets are:

6 or 8 6 to 5
The payoff odds for Free-Odds Bets on Don't Pass and Don't Come Bets are:

4 or 10 1 to 2
5 or 9 2 to 3
6 or 8 5 to 6
Since all other numbers are either natural or craps, these are the only
six possible points.
In general, the shooter should always place an additional bet on the odds.
This bet stays on the table until the shooter wins or rolls craps. The
bet may be removed from the table at any time before the end of the round.
Place Bets
Place Bets are located in the same grid as Come Bets. If the shooter rolls
a point that you don't like, you may place a Place Bet on the point of your
choosing. Remember that the payoff odds of winning a Place Bet are the
same as with Free-Odds Bets, so some points are safer bets than others.
Also, Place Bets stay on the table until the shooter hits their point or
rolls craps. You may remove a Place Bet from the table at any time.
The payoff odds for Place Bets are:

5 or 9 7 to 5
6 or 8 7 to 6
IMPORTANT: With each roll of the dice that does not end the round, you
may review, change, or add to all of the above bets except
Pass and Don't Pass.
