(210-1804) Operation Faxback Doc. # 50780

Using The Radio

Remove the cover from the MIC and SPK jacks and connect an optional
headset with microphone (such as Cat. No. 19-312) or microphone and
earphone communication headset (such as Cat. No. 19-315). This
automatically disconnects the internal speaker and PTT. Or, you can
connect a mono earphone (such as Cat. NO. 33-177) into the SPK jack.

Rotate the VOLUME/OFF knob to turn the radio on and off and adjust the
volume.

TX/BATT light lights when you transmit a message or press CALL.

Note: If this lights continuously, replace or recharge the batteries.

To have a tone sound on all radios tuned to the channel your radio is set
to, press CALL.

To hear everything happening on a channel, including weak transmissions,
hold down MON. Release MON to turn auto-squelch back on.

To talk, hold down PTT (push to talk). Speak into the microphone when the
TX indicator lights. When you finish speaking, release PTT.

The Belt Clip

To remove the belt clip, pull the tab and slide the belt clip down.

To reattach the belt clip, slide it up until it locks into place.
