Installing Batteries

Your radio uses four AA batteries for power.  You can use alkaline or
rechargeable batteries.  (If you use rechargeable batteries, you must
charge them before you can use them in the radio).

CAUTION:  Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries
          (standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries
          of different capacities.

Be sure the radio is off, then remove the battery compartment.  Slide the
battery holder in either direction and install the batteries as indicated
by the polarity symbols (+ and -) inside the compartment.

Slide the battery holder to the center of the battery compartment, then
snap the battery compartment onto the radio.
