FRS-101 Two-Way Radio
(210-1801) Battery Installation Faxback Doc. # 38442

Your radio uses four AA batteries for power. We recommend alkaline batt-
eries (such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 23-552).

NOTES: You can also use rechargeable batteries (such as Cat. No. 23-125) in
       the radio.

Approximate Battery life is 50 Hours (Standby) or 18 Hours (Operat-
ing) depending on type and amount of use.

Be sure the radio is off, then pull down the tab at the bottom of the
battery compartment. Lift up the bottom of the cover to remove it.

Install the batteries as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ and -) inside
the compartment. Then replace the cover and push the tab onto the cover to
latch it.

Caution: Do not mix old and new batteries, different types of batteries
(standard, alkaline, or rechargeable), or rechargeable batteries
          of different capacities.

The radio's range decreases as the battery power decreases. To ensure
maximum range, keep fresh batteries installed in the radio.
