INSTALLING THE BATTERY

Your transceiver uses a standard 9-volt battery for operation.  For
longest life, we recommend you use an alkaline battery such as RadioShack
Cat. No. 23-553.

Follow these steps to install the battery.

1.  Remove the battery compartment cover by sliding it in the direction of
    the arrow.

2.  Remove the old battery and dispose of it properly.

3.  Install the new battery as indicated by the polarity symbols (+ or -)
    marked in the battery compartment.

4.  Replace the cover.

INSTALLING THE BELT CLIP

Your transceiver comes with a belt clip.  To install the clip, slide the
clip into the slot on the back of the transceiver until it locks into
place.

To remove the belt clip, lift up on the locking tab and slide the clip
out.
