Compaq Presario 1267 Notebook
(250-0329) Pinouts Faxback Doc. # 52121
The Compaq Presario 1267 Notebook Computer has several connectors on its
rear and side panels. These connectors can be joined to devices to expand
the capability of your computer. Each connector is labeled with an icon
that indicates the device to which it can be connected.
Most of the connectors on your computer consist of pin arrays. This means
that small metal pins protrude from the connector; the cable you plug into
the connector should have a metal plate with holes that line up with the
connector's pins. If you purchase a special printer cable or serial cable,
be sure to check the connector pin configuration.
CAUTION: You should never try to force a cable onto a connector;
this can bend the pins and make the connector unusable.
Pin-outs are also used for troubleshooting problems. Technicians may use
this information to diagnose a problem with your connectors or cables.
