FRONT PANEL BUTTONS:

POWER BUTTON - Silver button located directly below the display.  Used for
  both POWER ON/POWER OFF and to initiate Hibernation mode.

TOUCHPAD - The Compaq 1267 is equipped with a flat touchpad, directly in
  front of space bar.  Below the touchpad are the left and right touchpad
  buttons.  Below the left and right touchpad buttons are the UP and DOWN
  scroll buttons.

INTERNET BUTTONS - Buttons located on the keyboard below the touchpad.
  This feature allows easy access to the Internet with the touch of a
  button.  The labels of the buttons and their functions are listed below:

VOLUME DOWN - Round button labeled with a minus sign.

VOLUME UP - Round button labeled with a plus sign.

STATUS LIGHTS:

The status lights are located on the bottom center of the keyboard and are
visible when the display panel is open or closed.  The lights show the
current status of the computer, and are labeled by small symbols.  Listed
below is a description of how the lights and their symbols appear, from
left to right, along with a brief description of their function.

LIGHT          SYMBOL DESCRIPTION             FUNCTION
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
POWER          CIRCLE WITH LINE THROUGH IT    Indicates that the computer
                                              is on.

BATTERY        BATTERY WITH ARROW POINTING    Illuminates when the battery
CHARGING       TO IT                          is charging.  If the light is
                                              not on, the battery is not
                                              charging.

AC ADAPTER     ELECTRICAL PLUG                Illuminates when the computer
                                              is plugged in using the AC
                                              Adapter.

NUM LOCK       LOCK WITH NUMBER 1             Illuminates when the Number
                                              Lock is on.  You can use the
                                              imbedded numeric keypad to
                                              enter numbers.  To toggle Num
                                              Lock mode, press <SHIFT> +
                                              <NUM LK>.

CAPS LOCK      LOCK WITH LETTER A             Illuminates when the Caps
                                              Lock is on.  When used,
                                              letters are typed in upper-
                                              case.  To toggle Caps Lock
                                              mode, press <SHIFT> +
                                              <CAPS LK>.

SCROLL LOCK    LOCK WITH DOWN ARROW           Illuminates when the Scroll
                                              Lock is on.  Text that takes
                                              up more than a full screen
                                              scrolls up the screen line-
                                              by-line.  To toggle Scroll
                                              Lock mode, press <SHIFT> +
                                              <SCR LK>.
