LCD Display:  This system comes with a large SVGA 10.4" DSTN (measured
diagonally) display.  This display provides superior viewing capability and
helps lessen the glare indoors.

Keyboard and TrackPoint III:  The keyboard has the familiar layout of a
ThinkPad with a function key capability that allows you to quickly access
system functions, such as power management control.  The keyboard lifts up,
allowing access to the HDD and battery for upgrades or quick battery
changes.  The TrackPoint III features enhanced "drag and drop" click button
function, so you can lock the buttons, instead of having to keep them
pushed when "dragging" in Windows.

Processor:  Pentium 100/66MHz processor that provides exceptional
performance.

Memory:  The ThinkPad 365XD system is designed to use non-parity 64-bit EDO
SO DIMM memory.  8MB of memory is standard, but can be expanded to a
maximum of 40MB.  This is a new type of memory and only the IBM ThinkPad
64-bit 8MB, 16MB, or 32MB EDO SO DIMMs 3.3V, non-parity memory options or
equivalent announced with the 760EL systems can be used.  This new memory
cannot be used with previously announced 365, 755, or 760 IBM ThinkPads.

PCMCIA:  The Type III slot can accomodate either two Type I, two Type II,
or one Type III card.

IBM PC Card Director softwareis preinstalled and provides support for the
latest PCMCIA standard, 2.1.  This software enables many PCMCIA cards,
allowing the user to simply plug in the card.

PC Card Director with Auto Configurator and Memory Device Driver:  PC Card
Director helps you get status and information on PCMCIA cards installed in
the system.  In addition, on OS/2 and on Microsoft Windows, PC Card
Director, can register an application program for PCMCIA cards and execute
them automatically.

Auto Configurator and Memory Device Driver enable supported PCMCIA cards by
sensing them automatically.

Storage:  The customer-upgradeable hard drive is 810MB standard.  Optional
1.08GB hard disk drive is available.  A 1.44MB FDD drive comes standard.

The 365XD comes with an integrated 5.0-inch CD-ROM, 4X-speed (150/600
Kbps), with an externally attached diskette drive.  The FDD is shipped with
the system.
