Creating Instruments in Deskmate Sound for use in Music:

1.  Press the <F2> key and highlight the DATA COMPRESSION option, then
    press <ENTER>.
2.  This will bring up options for NONE, MUSIC, and SPEECH.  Select MUSIC
    and press <ENTER>.
3.  Press the <F2> key and highlight the INSTRUMENT FILE option, then press
    <ENTER>.
4.  Press the <F4> key and highlight the RECORD option, then press <ENTER>.
5.  The computer will now prompt you for the recording time this can be
    from 1 to 29.xxx (we used 5 sec.).  Enter the desired time and press
    <ENTER>.
6.  Record sound through the Microphone.
7.  Press the <F5> key and highlight the NAME option, then press <ENTER>.
    This is where you will enter the name of the instrument, and its
    instrument number.  After entering your choice press <ENTER>.
8.  Press the <F5> key and highlight the PITCH option, then press <ENTER>.
    You can select the pitch of your choice from the options listed on the
    screen (we used the default).
9.  Press the <F5> key and highlight the RANGE option, then press <ENTER>.
    You can select from different ranges (again we used the default).
10. Save the file on the same disk that MUSIC.PDM is on.
11. Run MUSIC and select your instrument.
