3 Way Electronic Crossover
(120-2011) Features Faxback Doc. # 39520
Your Optimus 3-Way Electronic Crossover System lets you get the best sound
from your autosound system. It takes the full audio range and splits it
up into three smaller ranges. High frequencies are sent to the tweeters'
amplifier, middle-range frequencies are sent to the mid-range speakers'
amplifier, and low frequencies are sent to the subwoofers' amplifier.
Since each speaker only gets the frequencies that it handles best, overall
sound quality improves. The crossover even lets you adjust the specific
frequency ranges that each speaker receives to precisely match its
capabilities.
The crossover's features include:
Automatic Power On - the crossover turns on when you
turn on the vehicle's autosound
system (when it is connected to
a switched power lead).
Subwoofer Phase Shift Selector - lets you adjust the subwoofer to
compensate for acoustic timing
delays between speakers.
Bass Boost Control - lets you boost subwoofer bass
output by 12 dB.
Subwoofer Crossover Point Selector - lets you set the subwoofer
crossover point to 50 Hz, 90 Hz,
or 180 Hz.
Midrange Crossover Point Selectors - let you set the midrange's lower
crossover point to 50 Hz, 90 Hz,
or 180 Hz for high frequencies,
and its upper crossover point to
2kHz, 4kHz, or 6kHz for low
frequencies.
High Pass Crossover Point Selector - lets you set the tweeter
crossover point to 2kHz, 4kHz,
or 6kHz.
Subwoofer Input Selector - lets you select one-line or
two-line input to match your
autosound system's line output.
A complete autosound system using this crossover includes:
A receiver/CD player/cassette deck that has line-level or
speaker-level outputs
The crossover
Any combination of two tweeters, two midrange speakers, and two
