Installing the Speakers
Your Optimus CD-3339 comes with two detachable speakers for excellent
stereo sound.
CAUTION: Do not plug in the power cord until you connect the speakers.
Operating the CD-3339 without connected speakers could damage it.
The wires for the CE-3339's speakers are rolled up in the recessed area in
the back of each speaker. Unwind the wire from each speaker, then follow
these steps to connect the speakers to the system.
1. Align the dovetails on the side of the right speaker with the tracks
on the right side of the system and slide the speaker down until it
clicks into place.
Attach the left speaker in the same way.
2. Press the red R+ speaker terminal tab on the back of the main system,
insert the stripped red end of the right speaker wire, then release
the tab.
Note: Make sure that the insulated portion of each wire is not
touching the metal part of the speaker terminals.
3. Press the black R- speaker terminal, insert the stripped black end of
the right speaker wire, then release the tab.
4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to connect the left speaker to the L+ and L-
terminals.
To disconnect the speakers from the system, disconnect the speaker wires
from the CD-3339. then press the release tabs on the back of the main
system and slide each speaker up along the tracks.
A Look at the Remote Control Features
RANDOM - lets you play a CD's tracks in random order.
DISPLAY - displays the time.
VOLUME - lets you adjust the volume levels.
MUTE - lets you turn the sound off and on.
NUMBER KEYS
AM/FM - selects AM or FM.
TAPE, TUNER, CD - lets you set the CD-3339's function.
INTRO - lets you review the first 10 seconds of a CD's
tracks.
REPEAT/PRESET - lets you repeat tracks or find a particular track.
>>|/UP or |<<\DOWN - lets you skip tracks on a CD or select a programmed
radio station.
MEMORY/CLOCK ADJ. - lets you program the system and set the time.
