SELECTING A LOCATION
Before you install or connect the speaker, choose a suitable mounting
location. Note the following when selecting a location:
The speaker requires a minimum of 3-1/2 inches of open space behind the
mounting surface.
Be sure there are no electrical wires, mechanical assemblies, or
structural supports behind the mounting surface.
INSTALLING THE SPEAKER
Follow these steps to install the speaker.
Note: We suggest you temporarily connect the speaker to check for proper
operation before completing your installation.
1. Use the speaker as a template to mark the locations of the mounting
holes. Then drill the mounting holes.
2. Cut the speaker opening. Use tools suitable for the mounting surface.
If you are not sure, have a professional mount the speakers for you.
CAUTION: Do not cut into wiring or supporting structures.
3. Place one of the supplied clips over each of the holes you drilled in
step 1.
4. Secure the supplied rear gasket between the mounting frame and the
grille to prevent water seepage.
5. Mount the speaker securely with the four screws (supplied).
Note: Refer to your audio system's installation instructions for
