Attaching the Microphone Holder
1. Wrap the supplied microphone holder around the cassette recorder's
handle and snap it together.
2. Insert the microphone into the holder.
Playing a Cassette Tape
1. Using your finger or a pencil, turn the cassette's hub to remove any
tape slack. Avoid touching the tape with your fingers.
2. Press STOP/EJECT to open the cassette compartment door.
3. Plug the cassette tape into the compartment with the exposed tape edge
facing out and the side you want to play facing the compartment's
window.
4. Close the cassette compartment door.
5. Press PLAY.
Note: Press FAST-F or REWIND to fast forward or rewind the tape to
the desired selection.
6. Adjust VOLUME to your desired level.
7. When the tape reaches the other end, it automatically stops. Press
STOP/EJECT to stop the tape sooner.
To play the other side of the tape, remove it, turn it over, and put the
tape back in.
Singing Along with a Cassette Tape
You can use the supplied microphone to sing along with a cassette tape and
hear the music and your voice through the speaker.
1. Slide the microphone out from its holder.
2. Play a cassette tape.
3. Hold the microphone up to your mouth and press the yellow button while
you sing along with the music.
4. Adjust VOLUME to balance your voice with the music on the tape.
Note: Do not try to disconnect the microphone from the cassette
recorder. The microphone cord is permanently fixed and cannot
be removed.
Recording
Follow these steps to make a recording with the microphone.
1. Insert a blank cassette, or one you want to record over, into the
cassette recorder.
2. Press RECORD. Both PLAY and RECORD lock down.
3. Hold the microphone up to your mouth and speak into it.
Note: The yellow button on the microphone has no effect during
recording.
4. Press STOP/EJECT to stop recording.
