Standard AC power, using the supplied AC power cord.
Internal battery power, using eight D batteries.
Using AC Power
Plug the supplied power cord (stored inside the battery compartment) into
the AC ~ jack on the back of the CD-3326. Then plug the other end into a
standard AC outlet.
CAUTION: Always plug the power cord into the CD-3326 before you plug it
into the AC outlet. Always unplug the power cord from the AC out-

of different capacities.

NOTE: The CD-3326 automatically disconnects internal batteries when you
connect the power cord.
When the CD-3326's sound weakens or distorts, replace the batteries.
CAUTIONS: To protect the CD-3326 from possible battery leakage, never leave
dead, weak or old batteries in the CD-3326.
If you do not plan to use the CD-3326 for a month or more, or if
you plan to use only AC power, remove the batteries.
Using Headphones/Earphones
For private listening, you can insert a pair of stereo headphones or ear-
phones (not supplied) with a 1/8-inch plug into the (headphone) jack.
NOTES: Your local Radio Shack store carries a wide selection of stereo
headphones and earphones.
Connecting headphones/earphones automatically disconnects the built-
in speaker.
Listening Safely
to protect you hearing, follow these guidelines when you use headphones/
earphones.
Set the volume to the lowest setting before you begin listening. After
you begin listening, adjust the volume to a comfortable level.
Do not listen at extremely high volume levels. Extended high-volume
listening can lead to permanent hearing loss.
Once you set the volume, do not increase it. Over time, your ears adapt
to the volume level, so a volume level that does not cause discomfort
might still damage your hearing.
Traffic Safety
Do not wear headphones/earphones while operating a motor vehicle. This can
create a traffic hazard and can be illegal in some areas.
Even though some headphones/earphones let you hear some outside sounds when
listening at normal volume levels, they still can present a traffic hazard.
