Track Search
To rapidly search within track to locate a specific section of the track,
press and hold SKIP/SEARCH ->>| or |<<-. You hear the track play rapidly
and at a lower volume.
Release the button to resume normal play.
Track Skip
To rapidly locate a specific track on a CD, press ->>| to skip forward or
|<<- to skip backward through the tracks during playback.
The current track number appears on the display and automatically starts
playing.
Note:
If you press ->>| after the last track on a CD appears on the display,
the CD player stops skipping tracks and plays the last track. If you
press |<<- after the first track on a CD appears on the display, the
CD player stops skipping tracks and plays the first track.
Intro Scan
Intro scan lets you play the first 9 seconds of each track on a CD so you
can find a desired track.
1. Press PLAY/PAUSE to start playback.
2. After playback starts, press PLAY MODE repeatedly until Intr appears
on the display.
3. Press PLAY/PAUSE again. The CD player starts playing the current
track starting from --:00.
4. When you hear the first 9 seconds of the track you want to listen to,
press PLAY MODE again. The track number flashes on the display and
the CD player plays the track to the end, then stops.
5. To continue normal playback, while the current track is playing, press
PLAY MODE 3 times so the track number stops flashing. Normal playback
resumes.
To cancel intro scan play, press STOP.
Random PLAY
To play all the tracks on a CD once in random order, press PLAY/PAUSE,
then press PLAY MODE repeatedly until RND appears on the display. The CD
player randomly plays all the tracks once, then stops.
To repeat all tracks randomly, while RND appears on the display, press
REPEAT/ENTER so REPEAT also appears on the display. All tracks on the
CD play repeatedly in a random order.
To cancel random play, press PLAY MODE so RND disappears from the display.
Repeat Play
Your CD player can repeat:
All tracks
A single track
A programmed sequences
To repeat all tracks, press PLAY/PAUSE to start play, then simply press
REPEAT/ENTER until REPEAT appears on the display. When the CD player
reaches the end of the CD, it returns to the first track and replays all
of the tracks. The current track number appears on the display.
To repeat a single track, press PLAY/PAUSE to start play, then press ->>|
or |<<- until the track you want is playing. Press PLAY MODE twice so the
track number flashes on the display, then press REPEAT/ENTER. The display
shows REPEAT and the track repeatedly plays.
To repeat a programmed sequence (see "Storing a Programmed Sequence"),
press PLAY/PAUSE to start play, then press REPEAT/ENTER so REPEAT appears.
The programmed tracks play repeatedly.
To cancel repeat play, press REPEAT/ENTER.
Storing a Programmed Sequence
You can program up to 22 tracks on a CD to play in any order you choose.
You can program the same track to play more than once.
1. Press PLAY/PAUSE, then repeatedly press PLAY MODE until PGM flashes
and 01 (the first memory location) appears on the display.
2. Press ->>| or |<<- to find the track number you want to store.
3. Press REPEAT/ENTER. The track is stored in memory and 02 (or the next
memory location) appears on the right of the display.
4. Repeat Steps 2 and 3 to store more tracks.
Note:
After you store 22 tracks, the display returns to 01. If you continue
to store tracks, the new tracks begin to replace your previously
stored tracks.
Playing a Programmed Sequence
To start playing a programmed sequence, after storing the desired tracks,
press PLAY/PAUSE. PGM stops flashing, then playback starts with the first
track you stored and stops at the end of the last track you stored.
Note:
You can use either ->>| or |<<- to move to another track in the
programmed sequence. To play the stored tracks again:
To stop playback, press STO.
To play the stored tracks again, within 30 seconds after you stop
playback, press PLAY MODE until PGM appears on the display, then press
PLAY/PAUSE.
To clear the memory sequence, press OPEN or let the programmed sequence
play to the end and automatically stop.
Checking/Editing a Programmed Sequence
You can check and change any of the stored tracks in your programmed
sequence.
1. While any of the programmed tracks is playing, repeatedly press PLAY
MODE until PGM flashes on the display.
2. Repeatedly press REPEAT/ENTER to find the track you want to change.
The memory location and the track stored in it appear on the display.
Notes:
If you stored less than 22 tracks, the display shows 00 after the last
stored track appears, then shows 01.
If you store 22 tracks and you continue to press REPEAT/ENTER after
22 appears, the programmed sequence repeats.
3. When the track number you want to change appears on the display, press
->>| or |<<- to find the track number you want to replace it with.
4. Press REPEAT/ENTER again. The current track is stored in memory in
place of the old track.
5. Press PLAY/PAUSE again. PGM stops flashing, then playback starts
with the first track you stored and stops at the end of the last track
you stored.
