PLAYING A CD
1. Press OPEN and lift the disc compartment cover.
2. Carefully place the CDS, label side up, over the disc compartment's
center hub and gently press down on the CD until it clicks into place.
3. Press PUSH CLOSE to close the cover.
4. To start playback:
If you want to play the entire CD, press PLAY/PAUSE once.
The display shows 00 for about 10 seconds, then shows the total number
of tracks and the total playing time.
Track 1 begins to play while 01 and the track's elapsed play time
appear on the display.
If you want to play only a single track, press PLAY/PAUSE then press
PLAY MODE twice so the track number flashes on the display. Then
press ->>| to skip forward or |<<- to skip backward through the tracks
until the track you want to play flashes on the display.
While the track number flashes, the CD player plays the selected track
to the end then stops.
5. If you connected headphones to the CD player's PHONES 1 or 2 jack,
adjust the CD player's VOLUME control to set the desired volume level.
If you connected amplified speakers, a home audio system, or autosound
system to the CD player's LINE OUT jack, adjust the volume controls on
those units to set the desired volume level.
Warning:
This CD player has a wide dynamic range. If you connect it to an
amplifier and turn up your amplifier's volume too high during soft
(low volume) parts of the music, you might damage your hearing when a
sudden loud passage occurs.
6. If you connected headphones to the CD player's PHONES 1 or 2 jack, set
E-BASS to ON to enhance bass frequencies.
Note:
Adjusting E-BASS has no effect if you use the LINE OUT jack.
When the last track finishes playing, the CD player automatically
stops and turns off.
To stop playing the CD before it automatically stops, press STOP.
The display shows the total number of tracks and the total elapsed
playing time.
The CD player automatically turns off within 30 seconds if you do not
press any button.
USING HOLD
Set HOLD to the right to prevent accidentally changing the settings of
SKIP/SEARCH, PLAY MODE REPEAT/ENTER, STOP, and PLAY/PAUSE.
Set HOLD to the left to continue to use all buttons.
