SSM-1200 Stereo Mixer w/7 Band Equalizer
(320-3002) Operation Faxback Doc. # 8755
BASIC OPERATION
You can mix up to six inputs at the same time and use the built-in
equalizer and echo generator to tailor the sound as desired.
1. Set MASTER to approximately 5.
NOTE: The 0.775V/1.5V selector offers an optional input level for
the master channel. Set it to 0.775V for high sensitivity
input, and to 1.5V for low sensitivity input.
2. Set the switch above each channel VU meter to select the input you
want to activate. For example, set CH 1 PHONO/CD/LINE to PHONO when
you want to mix the audio source connected to the CH 1 PHONO input
jacks.
3. Adjust the corresponding volume level control to obtain a reading of
0 on the output level VU meters.
NOTE: The output level VU meter indicates the output signal levels
of the left and right channels.
4. Slide the MIC 1 volume level control up to increase, and down to
decrease the MIC 1 (DJ) microphone's volume.
5. Push in ECHO BYPASS/ON to produce an ECHO effect; push it out to
eliminate the ECHO effect.
6. Push in EQUALIZER BYPASS/ON to ON to operate the right and left
7-channel frequency equalizer controls.
7. When two channels are playing at the same time, slide FADER:
Left, to fade in the volume of CH 1 (or 3) and fade out the volume
of CH 2 (or 4).
Center, to mix in the volume of CH 2 (or 4) and of CH 1 (or 3)
equally.
Right, to fade in the volume of CH 2 (or 4) and fade out the
volume of CH 1 (or 3).
NOTE: This lets you quickly and smoothly change the mixer's audio
inputs (PHONO/CD/LINE) from CH 1 to CH 2, or from CH 3 to
CH 4.
8. Set MASTER to the desired volume.
9. Set POWER OFF/ON to OFF to turn off the mixer's power. The power
indicator light goes off.
