Multi-Channel Wireless Lapel Microphone
(320-1231) Installation Faxback Doc. # 17164

SETTING THE CHANNEL AND INSTALLING THE BATTERY

If you use one microphone system, you do not have to change the
microphone's channel. But, you must set the microphone receiver to match
the microphone receiver to match the microphone's channel.

If you use more than one microphone system (microphone/receiver
combination), you must set each to a different channel. To prevent
interchannel interference, do not select adjacent channels (for example, D
and E).

Note: System microphones are sold in one of three channel combinations:

AEH, BDG, or CFH

Follow these steps to set the microphone's channel and install a battery.

1. Using the tip of a pen, slide the battery compartment lock switch in
    the direction of the arrow.

2. Remove the transmitter's battery compartment cover by pressing it in
    the direction of the arrow.

3. If a battery is installed, remove it so you can see the channel
    selector switch.

4. Set the transmitter switch to the desired channel.

5. Install the battery by attaching it to the battery clip inside the
battery compartment. For the longest battery life, we recommend am
alkaline battery such as Radio Shack Cat. No. 230-0553.

CAUTION: Use only a fresh battery of the required size and type.
Never leave a weak or dead battery inside the microphone.
Even leak-proof batteries can leak damaging chemicals.

6. Replace the cover and secure it with the lock switch.

NOTE: The red BATT LOW indicator flickers when you turn on the microphone.
If the indicator stays on, you need to replace the battery.

USING MORE THAN ONE WIRELESS SYSTEM

If you intend to use more than two wireless microphone systems in the same
location, follow the recommended channel combinations listed for best
performance.

IMPORTANT: Always use the STANDBY setting on your transmitter to mute a
microphone. Using the STANDBY setting minimizes interference
when you use more than one wireless system.
