panel control switches (ON-LINE / OFF-LINE, etc.).

                    4 * OPEN    CR Code Gives Carriage Return + Line
                                Feed
                        CLOSED  CR Code Gives Carriage Return Only
                    5 * OPEN    All CR Codes Received are Generated
                        CLOSED  CR Code After Initial CR Code is
                                Ignored
                    6   OPEN    LF Code Gives Line Feed Only
