LP 4 (260-1159) Buffer Faxback Doc. # 5810 The Line Printer 4 doesn't print each character as it is received--it waits until it has received a carriage return or it input buffer is filled, and then prints. The buffer holds 80 characters in 10 cpi, 132 in 16.7 cpi, and 118 dot positions in proportional mode. If the line you wish to print exceeds the buffer capacity, the Printer will automatically wrap-around to the next line, so no data will be lost. (smm 08/04/93)
