The printer software allows you to send print jobs from your workstation
(Host) to a shared directory on a network server. You can print these
files from a different (Remote) workstation set up to run the Lexmark 7000
spool manager and printer driver.
Host Setup
To set up the Host workstations:
1. Open the Spool Manager.
2. Click the printer queue Lexmark 7000 to highlight it.
3. Select the Setup option from the Queue menu.
4. Select the Spool to Remote Printer option.
5. Click the Browse button.
6. Select the spool directory on the remote server which should receive
the print files.
Remote Setup
To set up the Remote workstations:
1. Open the Spool Manager.
2. Select the Setup option from the Queue menu.
3. Select the Remote Despool tab
4. Click the Printing from Remote Queues option.
5. Click the Browse button.
6. Select the spool directory on the remote server which will hold print
jobs from host workstations.
Journal files are identified by the spool manager and submitted for
printing. To start printing, run the spool manager by executing
xxSPLMGR.EXE from the WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory, or add the xxSPLMGR.EXE
program to the Windows StartUp Group.
