Align the printheads after installing a new print cartridge or if the black
portions of graphics do not align with the color portions.
To align the printheads:
1. From the Printer Control Program, click the Cartridges Tab.
2. Click the Align Cartridges button.
The Align Cartridge dialog box appears on your screen. The printer prints
a test page with four alignment patterns. Each pattern has a number under
it.

3. On the printed test page, locate the number under the Horizontal
Alignment of Heads pattern that comes closest to forming a perfectly
straight line.
4. In the Align Cartridges dialog box, enter the number as the Horizontal
Align setting.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 for the Vertical, Bidirectional Black, and
Bidirectional Color Alignment patterns.
6. After you have entered a number for all four patterns, click OK.
7. Repeat steps 2-6 until the patterns print to your satisfaction.
