You can load envelopes in the sheet feeder or manual feeder.  For a list of
envelope sizes you can load in the automatic feeder, see Paper Sizes.

The acceptable dimensions for envelopes loaded in the manual feeder are:

    Length                127 to 364 mm       5.0 to 14.33 in.

    Width                  76 to 228 mm       3.0 to 8.5 in.

    Weight                 60 to 120 g/sqm     16 to 32 lb.


Do not use the following types of envelopes:

 *  Envelopes with windows, holes, perforations, cutouts, or deep embossing

 *  Envelopes with a metal clasp, a string tie, or metal folding bars

 *  Envelopes with peel-off sealing strips

 *  Envelopes with contents enclosed
