LP 1000 (260-1804) Switch Settings Faxback Doc. # 4732

* If using the parallel printer interface on the computer, skip this
  section.

The LP 1000 has two interfaces: a video interface and a parallel interface.
The DIP switches on the rear of the LP 1000 determine which interface is
active. Normally, you use the parallel interface. The video interface
accepts signals from another interface that emulates other types of
printers not covered by the LP 1000's built-in ROM.

NOTE: The video interface connector and the DIP switches each have a cover
that must be removed to use the video interface.

The video interface on the LP 1000 is not for a monitor connection.
It is for connecting a device to allow Postscript compatibility.
Destiny Page Styler 4.5 kit (900-2218) will book-up to this port.
     Comes with appropriate cable.

The following table shows the DIP switch settings in relation to the
signals enabled. The leftmost switch is Switch 1.
