LP 1000 (260-2804) Selftest Faxback Doc. # 4731
1. TURN ON THE POWER. The Ready indicator flashes to indicate that the LP
1000 is warming up. After about 45 seconds the indicator stays lit, and
the LP 1000 is ready to use.
2. PRESS THE ON-OFF LINE SWITCH to set the LP 1000 off-line. Remember that
when the LP 1000 is turned on, it is always on-line.
3. PRESS THE TEST SWITCH on the operation panel to print the summary sheet.
The LP 1000 then prints out the following information:
- Version Number of firmware ROM
- Paper size set
- Usable memory capacity
- Explanation of current settings
- Usable font names
- Record of controller errors
If the buffer contains any print data, that data prints before the
information listed above.
4. AFTER THE SELF-TEST, all mode settings except the font assignment and
font selection return to their default values.
5. TURN OFF THE POWER BEFORE connecting the LP 1000 to a computer.
