Paper is fed into the printer from a tray which is located in the base of
the printer (ASF - Automatic Sheet Feeder).  Before loading any paper, you
must mount the external part of the input tray, which is supplied as a
separate piece with the printer.  The paper tray can contain 70 sheets of
24 lb Letter paper.

Insert the mounting feet of the paper tray in the corresponding slots in
the lower rear side of the printer and fit the power cord into the notch
on the side of the tray.

CAUTION:  Push the external part of the paper tray in as far as it will go.

On the lower front of the printer are two levers which control the
centering of the paper in the paper tray and the operating/paper loading
position of the tray.  On the inside of the top cover, an engraved template
(ASF) illustrates the functions of these levers during the paper loading
operation.

    Paper tray release lever (upper lever).
    Lower and move to the left, to open the paper tray (1); move to the
    right and raise, to close the paper tray (5).

    Paper centering lever (lower lever).
    Move to the right, to open the lateral guide and release the paper (2);
    move to the left to close the lateral guides and center the paper (4).
