| Step 1: Select the Map |

| On your desktop computer or laptop, open the DeLorme XMap Handheld Street Atlas USA edition, and either locate the saved map, or find and save the map you wish to export to your PDA. |

| Step 2: Select Export |
| |

| |
| Click on the HANDHELD EXPORT tab. |
| |
| Step 3: Choose Zoom Level |
| |

| |
| Select a zoom level under the SELECT; SELECT DATA AT ZOOM LEVEL drop down box. To be able to create a route on the exported map, the map should be exported at zoom level 12-0. |

| Step 4: Select Squares to Export |
| |

| |
| Under EXPORT AREA, click on the select tool and either select the squares as a group, or click on each individual square of the map that you wish to include in your exported map. As you select the squares, they will change to a different color. |

| Step 5: Begin Export |
| |

| |
| Click on the SAVE button, and the above EXPORT window will pop-up. When it has finished, the window will automatically close. |

| Step 6: Set Exchange Settings |
| |

| Click on the EXCHANGE button, and the EXCHANGE WIZARD window will be displayed. Under DEVICE TYPE, select the device to which you wish to export the map (Pocket PC or Palm OS). Select SEND TO DEVICE. Click NEXT. |

| Step 7: Send the Map to the PDA |

| From the drop down box, under SOURCE; HANDHELD MAP select the file name of the map you wish to export. Click on the PREPARE FOR SYNC button. |

| Step 8: Receive Confirmation Message |
| |

| |
| A window will pop up on screen telling you that the map was successfully sent to the device. Click on the OK button. |
| |
| Step 9: Finishing the Process |
| |

| |
| Click on the FINISH button. After your next sychronization process, the map will be available on your PDA. |
